Wooley also scored the game-winning goal.
“Pretty surreal. It’s a feeling that doesn’t get old, winning this trophy. To do it again, it’s unreal.”
It is his second Memorial Cup.
“I think it’s just a lot of guys that have the same goal, obviously everyone wants to win, but when times get tough, maybe you go your separate ways. Everyone stuck together and gelled, so this is a pretty special group.”
Campbell, a Trent Hills native, is in his third year with the Rangers.
“It’s incredible. Feels like yesterday I was a 16-year-old and to think you know this kind of whole storyline, see it come to fruition, it’s pretty special, so it’s awesome. There’s a list of so many people that I can thank right now and I’m not going to even attempt that because I’m going to leave out so many key people, but from the bottom of my heart, thank you and I just appreciate it so much.”
Campbell was a big part of the post-season success, doubling his point production percentage in the playoffs, from the regular season.
The Rangers have their Memorial Cup parade in Kitchener on Wednesday.
