Northumberland OPP appealing for witnesses following a fatal two-vehicle collision on Highway 401 this past Saturday.
Investigators say the incident occurred near the Port Hope service centre around 11:00 a.m., when a parked vehicle and its driver were struck by another motorist.
The victim was airlifted to a Toronto trauma centre with life-threatening injuries, but has since passed away.
Highway 401 eastbound was closed for several hours for an investigation.
The investigation is ongoing. Anyone who may have witnessed the collision or has dashcam footage from the area at the time of the incident is asked to contact the OPP at 1-888-310-1122.
