Several cows wandered off course early Monday morning and ended up bringing Hwy 401 west near Grafton to a halt.
Fortunately, drivers were on the ball and none of the bovines was hit or injured.
The incident occurred around 2:30 a.m.
OPP shut down the westbound lanes for a while as officers moved the cattle off to a more friendly locale.
