Belleville Police continue to investigate Tuesday’s fatal collision at the intersection of Bridge Street East and Herchimer Avenue.
Initially police reported the 26-year-old victim was a pedestrian but it has since been determined that the deceased was operating an e-scooter when they were struck by another vehicle.
They were the sole rider involved.
It happened around 10:15 a.m.
The intersection was closed for several hours following the collision.
The investigation remains ongoing and anyone with information is asked to contact Belleville Police.
