The Belleville Police Service is investigating after various social media posts highlighted the conduct of one of its officers.
On Facebook Friday Chief of Police Murray Rodd says the service if “actively reviewing the matter” and is committed to maintaining public confidence.
The officer or the incident described on social media was not identified.
Members of the public with concerns about an officer’s conduct can register a complaint through the Belleville Police Service website or with the Law Enforcement Complaints Agency (LECA).
