The doors officially opened in Belleville this week for Ya Ya Foods.
“We have 85 employees today and we’re forecasted to have 95 employees by the end of the year, and our end goal is creating 300 jobs in the Belleville area by 2030.”

Murgell says they are what is known as a co-packer.
“We manufacture things on behalf of other organizations who outsource to us, and we’re really seeing a shift in the product market towards alternative milk and milk protein products. That’s the primary kind of product that we make, and we do shelf-stable plastic bottling.”
She says they are looking forward to getting started.
“There’s a lot that we can do in terms of serving and optimizing distribution across Canada and the United States as well. We’re just looking forward to celebrating, contributing, and officially being a part of the Belleville community.”
