A 39-year-old man is facing charges after a 12-year-old was assaulted.
Belleville police responded to the city’s east end late Sunday afternoon where investigators learned a male had assaulted a 12-year-old female who was known to him by grabbing her shoulder, choking her, and uttering threats.
The unidentified man was arrested on charges of:
· Uttering threats – cause death or bodily harm
· Assault
· Assault causing bodily harm – choke
He was held for a bail hearing.
