The Quinte West Chamber of Commerce along with presenting sponsor, the City of Quinte West, introduces Leading Edge Quinte, a new locally-driven leadership development experience created specifically for the Bay of Quinte business community. Taking place on June 11, 2026 at Batawa Ski Hill, this half-day gathering is designed to inspire, connect, and empower current and emerging leaders through engaging conversations, practical insights, and meaningful networking opportunities.
Running from 8:00 a.m. to 1:00 p.m., the event will feature a lineup of speakers focused on leadership, resilience, workplace culture, communication, and personal growth. Attendees will hear from keynote speaker Barbara Yebuga, along with featured speakers Theresa Bailey and Dr. Kylie Bragdon. The morning will also include a panel discussion hosted by Doug Stevenson, offering attendees the opportunity to hear diverse perspectives and real-world leadership experiences.
“Strong leadership has the power to transform workplaces, organizations, and communities,” said Linda Lisle, Manager of Economic Development and Tourism with the City of Quinte West. “Leading Edge Quinte is about creating opportunities for people to grow, build meaningful connections, and leave feeling inspired with practical ideas they can bring back to their teams and businesses.”
Leading Edge Quinte was created to provide an opportunity for leaders to step away from the day-to-day in a retreat-like setting, while investing in professional growth, and strengthening connections within the Bay of Quinte business community. Organizers hope the event will foster collaboration, spark new ideas, and encourage continued leadership development throughout the region.
Participants can expect inspiring conversations, fresh perspectives, practical takeaways, and authentic stories from leaders and changemakers shaping the region and beyond. The event will conclude with networking opportunities, prize draws, and outdoor s’mores at the Batawa Ski Hill fire pits.
“Leading Edge Quinte is designed to be more than just a speaker event. It’s an opportunity for people to step outside of their usual routines, connect with others in the business community, and invest in themselves as leaders,” said Taetum Roseberry, Events Coordinator with the Quinte West Chamber of Commerce. “We wanted to create an experience that feels welcoming, engaging, and motivating for both established and emerging leaders across the Bay of Quinte region.”
The event is open to business owners, managers, supervisors, entrepreneurs, and emerging leaders from across the Bay of Quinte region. Tickets are $60 per person and include access to all sessions, networking opportunities, and refreshments.
