Belleville police have charged a youth after a weapons incident at a secondary school in Belleville’s east end on Wednesday.
Officers responded to a report of the incident at around 12:45 p.m.
It was reported that a student from an east-end secondary school approached another student and demanded their pizza while brandishing a knife.
As a result of an investigation, a 17-year-old Belleville female, whose identity is protected under the Youth Criminal Justice Act, was arrested and charged with the following offences:
- Robbery with a weapon
- Possession of a weapon for a dangerous purpose
She was released on an undertaking with a scheduled court date in July.
