Demonstrators have blocked the Skyway Bridge leading from Tyendinaga Mohawk Territory into Prince Edward County. Provincial police say the Tyendinaga Mohawk Police Service is monitoring the situation. The demonstration comes as Mohawks in Cornwall continue a protest over the arming of border guards at the Seaway International Bridge. The demonstration in Prince Edward County comes as the public safety minister says the Cornwall crossing could be closed permanently unless aboriginals accept the decision to arm border guards.
