“The Pan American Championship is the first event in the 2026-2029 WBSC World Cup cycle, and it will provide new opportunities for up-and-coming athletes to represent Canada at the international level,” said Mike Branchaud, CEO of Softball Canada. “This event was recently confirmed on December 17. We had a plan in place for the next cycle, however, with the addition of this event, we had to shift our focus to put together the best possible team and staff. We are excited with what the future will bring for our men’s program.”
The Men’s National Team finished fifth at the WBSC Men’s World Cup Finals and won bronze at The World Games in 2025.
Athletes named to the Men’s National Team Athlete Pool are eligible to be invited to Men’s National Team training, development and selection camps. Athletes may be added or removed from the National Team Athlete Pool at any time at the coaching staff’s discretion.
