A driver was airlifted from the scene of a serious crash in Douro-Dummer township on Thursday.
Peterborough County OPP, along with fire and EMS, responded to a call just after 2 p.m. on County Road 4. An SUV had collided with a delivery van as it pulled out onto the road from a residence.
First responders arrived to find both vehicles with serious damage. The driver of the SUV was severely injured and was airlifted from the scene by ORNGE Air. A passenger in the SUV, as well as the driver of the van, were transported to a local hospital for treatment of minor injuries.
County Road 4 was closed between Caves Road and County Road 6 while emergency crews worked the scene, and the damaged vehicles were removed.
Anyone who may have witnessed the collision or has dashcam or video footage and has not spoken to police is asked to contact the Peterborough County OPP.
