The Trenton Golden Hawks defeated the Wellington Dukes 6-4 on Friday night.
Jack Ziliotto, Joshua Penny, Lucas Digiantommaso, and Joey Brehmer scored for the Golden Hawks. Brad Wilson, Liam Campbell, and Sacha Trudel scored for the Dukes.
The Golden Hawks opened scoring with a single unanswered first-period goal. In the second, the Dukes got on the board with two goals, but the Golden Hawks kept ahead with three more of their own, taking a lead into the final frame. In the third, the Dukes scored twice, but the Golden Hawks did as well to maintain their lead and win the game.
The Dukes are back in action on Sunday to face the Markham Royals. The Golden Hawks will hit the ice on Sunday facing the Cobourg Cougars.
