Bancroft OPP have arrested two people and seized over $10,000 in drugs within the town.
On Thursday, just before 10 p.m., police received a tip about drugs and a possible wanted person. While following up on the tip, officers found the person in a parking lot.
Two people were arrested and a vehicle was searched during the investigation. The vehicle search resulted in officers finding over 85 grams of suspected methamphetamine, over 78 grams of suspected cocaine, cash, scales, dime bags and two cell phones.
Justin Sleeper, a 33-year-old Bancroft man, was charged with four counts of possession of a firearm or ammunition contrary to a probation order, possession of prohibited device or ammunition, two counts of failure to comply with a probation order, and two counts of possession of a Schedule I substance for trafficking.
Caitlyn Clancy, a 35-year-old from Highlands East Township, is charged with possession of a prohibited device or ammunition, failure to comply with an undertaking, and two counts of possession of a Schedule I substance for trafficking.
Both accused were held for bail and are scheduled to appear before the Ontario Court of Justice in Belleville.
