Northumberland OPP have made a second arrest in connection with a drug investigation at Warkworth Institution.
A correctional officer seized approximately 15 grams of suspected illicit drugs in a cell area on October 3 of last year.
Earlier this week, OPP reported the investigation had resulted in the arrest of a 51-year-old inmate on a charge of trafficking in methamphetamines.
On Thursday, a second warrant was issued and police charged a 35-year-old inmate with possession for the purpose of trafficking – methamphetamine.
The accused was held to appear before the Ontario Court of Justice in Cobourg.
