Northumberland OPP have charged an individual following an investigation into drugs at Warkworth Institution.
On October 3 of last year, a correctional officer seized approximately 15 grams of suspected illicit drugs in a cell area.
Following an investigation, a warrant was issued, and on Wednesday, a 51-year-old inmate was charged with trafficking in methamphetamines.
The accused was held to appear before the Ontario Court of Justice in Cobourg.
