One person was killed in a head-on collision just outside Kingston late Wednesday morning.
Lennox and Addington OPP, Loyalist Township firefighters and Frontenac paramedics responded to Taylor-Kidd Boulevard near Coronation Boulevard shortly after 11:30 a.m.
A passenger in one of the vehicles was pronounced deceased at the scene.
The two drivers were transported to hospital, one with life-threatening injuries and the other as a precaution.
The investigation is ongoing, with assistance from members of the OPP East Region Traffic Incident Management Enforcement team, including a Collision Reconstructionist and Technical Collision Investigator, and OPP Forensic Identification Services.
