Belleville police responded to 371 calls for service beginning at 5 a.m. on December 31, 2025 to 5 a.m. on January 5, 2025.
Fail to Comply with an Undertaking:
On January 2, 2026 at 3:03 p.m., Belleville police conducted a traffic stop in the city’s east end after observing a vehicle travelling at a high rate of speed.
Upon approaching the vehicle, officers observed a female passenger in the front seat. Further investigation revealed that the male driver was in breach of his conditions to not communicate with the female.
As a result, a 27-year-old Frankford man was arrested and charged with failure to comply with an undertaking, in addition to several HTA violations. He was held for a bail hearing.
Harassment
On January 2, 2026 at 10:31 a.m., Belleville police responded to a report of harassment. It was reported that a male had accessed a female’s accounts without authorization and sent multiple unwanted messages to her from his own accounts.
As a result of investigation, a 28-year-old Belleville man was arrested and charged with:

He was released on an undertaking and is scheduled to appear in court in February.
Breach of Probation
On January 1, 2026 at 10:38 a.m., Belleville police responded to a report of a disturbance in the city’s west end. It was reported that a male attended a residence and was involved in a verbal dispute with the male and female residents. The situation escalated when the male punched a vehicle before fleeing the scene.
Further investigation revealed that the male was bound by conditions to not attend the address or communicate with the female resident.
As a result, a 35-year-old Belleville man was located, arrested and charged with four counts of failure to comply with a probation order. He was held for a bail hearing.
Fail to Remain
On January 1, 2026 at 7:41 p.m., Belleville police responded to a report of a vehicle that had struck a retaining wall at a residence and fled the scene.
Following an investigation, officers located the suspect vehicle and identified the driver.
As a result, a 32-year-old Belleville man was charged under the Highway Traffic Act with careless driving and fail to remain.
