The countdown has begun for the highly anticipated Quinte Regional Science and Technology Fair, taking place on April 11, 2026, at St. Theresa Catholic Secondary School. All students in Grades 4-12 in the Quinte area are eligible. This annual event serves as a vibrant platform for students from various schools to showcase their scientific projects and innovative ideas to judges, peers, and members of the community.
Students are encouraged to start their projects early. This allows ample time for research, experimentation, and preparation. Whether it’s a groundbreaking invention, a detailed scientific study, or an environmental project, each entry has the potential to shine in front of a panel of esteemed judges. Participants will not only gain valuable experience in presenting their findings but also have the chance to win awards and scholarships.
Organizers emphasize the importance of engaging the community and fostering a love for science among young people. “The fair is not just about competition; it’s about collaboration and inspiration,” said Scott Berry, event co-chair. “We want students to explore their interests in science and technology and share their findings with the world.”
As the date approaches, interested students and teachers are encouraged to register (as of Jan. 1, 2026) and judges can register on Jan. 5th. Learn more about the event on the official Quinte Regional Science and Technology Fair website (www.qrstf.ca) . With the spotlight on innovation and creativity, the Quinte Regional Science and Technology Fair promises to be a memorable event for students and the community alike. Mark your calendars for April 11, 2026, and prepare to be inspired!
