Quinte Health has announced the first baby born across its hospitals in 2026.
Rosie-Lynne Boustead was born on Thursday, January 1, 2026, at 7:11 a.m. on the Maternal Child Unit, located on the seventh floor of Belleville General Hospital (BGH), weighing 5lbs 13oz.
Belleville parents Nicole and Karl Boustead welcomed Rosie-Lynne with the support of the maternal child care team.
“This is a wonderful way to begin the new year,” said Lina Rinaldi, Vice President and Chief Nursing Executive, to Quinte Health.
“Welcoming the first baby of 2026 reflects the compassion, skill, and teamwork our staff bring to every birth, every day.”
