One local resident is starting the new year with a major windfall.
In the most recent Lotto Max draw on Tuesday, one of the $1 million Maxmillions prizes went to a ticket that was sold in the Prince Edward County/Hastings area.
That was one of seven $1 million tickets sold.
In the same draw, the ticket that won the $80 million was sold in London, Ontario.
