Two people face trafficking charges after a seizure of drugs in Quinte West.
A search warrant was executed at an apartment on Creswell Drive.
Officers seized over 32 grams of suspected fentanyl, more than 2.5 grams of suspected cocaine and more than two grams of suspected crack cocaine, as well as cash and items typically associated with drug trafficking.
Two people were arrested without incident.
Charged were 30-year-old Austin Cooney and 53-year-old Daniel Vanclief, both from Quinte West.
They were charged with the following:
- Possession of Schedule I substance for the purpose of trafficking – two counts
- Possession of proceeds of property obtained by crime under $5000
- Fail to comply with a probation order
The accused were held for a bail hearing before the Ontario Court of Justice in Belleville to be held on Friday, December 19, 2025.
