Northumberland OPP were able to recover a stolen vehicle and charged two people following a traffic stop.
An officer was on patrol on Highway 401 in the Township of Cramahe on Thursday at around 9:50 a.m.
Police say the officer’s in-cruiser Automated Licence Plate Recognition (ALPR) system alerted them to a stolen vehicle travelling west.
A number of cruisers were involved in stopping the pickup truck and two individuals were taken into custody.
Twenty-year-old Christopher Urizar-Santos from Blainville, Quebec, was charged with possession of property obtained by crime over $5,000.
Twenty-four-year-old Sergio Urizar-Santos from Blainville, Quebec, was charged with possession of property obtained by crime over $5,000.
Both accused were held for bail to appear before the Ontario Court of Justice in Cobourg.
