We have our first look inside the new Bridge Integrated Care Hub being built on 1 Alhambra Square.
Photos from a tour of the building have been sent to Quinte News.
The Bridge Integrated Care Hub is a facility that helps those experiencing homelessness, addiction, or mental health challenges.
It offers meals, showers, washrooms, on-site mental health and addiction support, primary care, and system navigation.
The Bridge is a collaboration between the following community partners:
- Canadian Mental Health Association Hastings Prince Edward
- Enrichment Centre for Mental Health
- John Howard Society of Belleville
- Belleville and Quinte West Community Health Centre
- United Way Hastings & Prince Edward
- Grace Inn
- Southeast Public Health
“Seeing 1 Alhambra take shape is an exciting milestone. It’s also a promise that we can see that growing supports are on the way in our community, bringing hope to our neighbours,” Ashley Vader, Director of the Bridge Integrated Care Hub, said in a release.
“Every wall going up brings us one step closer to opening a space where our fellow community members struggling with homelessness, mental health and substance use issues only have one doorway to walk through, rather than ten, to get the supports they need.”
According to a release, the opening date of the facility is slated to open in the spring of 2026.
The first phase of building (work on the ground floor) is expected to be completed in early 2026 with Phase 2 (the second floor) expected to be completed in the spring.
Currently, The Bridge has services operating at 125 South Church Street while work on Alhambra continues.
