Community members across the region will have an opportunity to support local healthcare next Thursday, October 29, as participating McDonald’s restaurants in Belleville, Quinte West and Prince Edward County come together for Hospital Day.
Throughout the day, McDonald’s will donate $1 from every Big Mac meal and McChicken meal sold, and $0.50 from every medium, large and extra-large coffee sold, to support local hospital foundations. Each participating community will direct funds raised toward its own local hospital.
In Belleville, proceeds will support the Belleville General Hospital Foundation’s purchase of a vital signs monitor for the Surgical Program at Belleville General Hospital. This equipment helps care teams monitor patients’ vital signs and supports the delivery of safe, effective care.
Hospital Day is also taking place in Quinte West and Prince Edward County, where participating McDonald’s restaurants will support their respective local hospital foundations. The regional initiative highlights the important role community partnerships play in helping hospitals access the equipment needed to care for patients close to home.
Community members can take part simply by visiting a participating McDonald’s on Thursday, October 29, and purchasing a qualifying Big Mac meal, McChicken meal or medium, large or extra-large coffee. Every qualifying purchase contributes to the initiative.
The Belleville community is encouraged to visit one of the participating locations and help make Hospital Day a success.
