“I think if I look back over the numbers, it’s well up to a million dollars that the Knights have contributed over the last several decades.”
Similar to many service clubs and charities over the last several years, the Knights have seen a membership decline and Goodmurphy says they are always looking for community-minded members to join.
“When we’re asking people what is it you’re interested in, what would you like to do for your parish for the community? We try to keep that outreach to the community.”

He says giving back is at the heart of their message.
“The Knights have been involved in community for well over 100 years now. We’ve always supported the Trenton Memorial Hospital Foundation. We also support the food bank on a regular basis, the Quinte Pregnancy Centre, and several other groups in the community.”
