NOTICE: Skyway Bridge overnight closure rescheduled for October 17 – 18
The full mainline night closure of the Bay of Quinte Skyway Bridge has been rescheduled for Tuesday, October 17 to Wednesday, October 18.
The closure of the bridge will take place from 9 p.m. on Tuesday, October 17 until 2 a.m. on Wednesday, October 18.
This closure is intended for the jacking of the bridge to install permanent bearings.
Unforeseen equipment issues caused the contractor to cancel the closure originally scheduled for October 16 and October 17.
No traffic will be permitted to pass over the bridge during the above closures. Please refer to the Glenora Ferry website for more information about using this service as an alternate route. If you have any questions or concerns, please visit the project website.
There will be another full mainline night closure from 9 p.m. on Monday, October 30, 2023 to 6 a.m. on Tuesday, October 31.
In case of poor weather conditions, the closure may be rescheduled to take place from 9 p.m. on Wednesday, November 1 to 6 a.m. on Thursday, November 2.
