JRPM celebrates Ontario’s spectacular parks and recreation services and raises awareness for the role they play as a pathway to individual, community, and environmental well-being.
June is also Seniors Month in Ontario. It’s a time when we recognize our amazing older adults and the hard work seniors have done all their lives to make Ontario into the great place it is today. This year’s theme is “Working Together.”
In addition to registered programs offered through the City of Belleville, community members are encouraged to get out and enjoy local parks, and social and cultural amenities. The community can also participate in the ParticipACTION Community Challenge where you can log your physical activity minutes. The challenge is a national physical activity and sport initiative that encourages everyone in Canada to get active throughout June in search of Canada’s Most Active Community. Let’s go, Belleville!
For information on the June schedule of activities, visit the Quinte Sports & Wellness Centre (QSWC) website, in-person at the Quinte Sports & Wellness Centre or call 613-966-4632.
