A 40-year-old Belleville man faces an assault with a weapon charge after a violent incident Sunday at an east end housing complex.
Belleville police responded in the noon hour to find someone had suffered minor injuries after being hit by a baseball bat.
After investigation, officers arrested Edward Yates yesterday (Tuesday).
Yates appears in court May 13.
