Belleville Transit is making some changes to their bus routes.
Routes 3 and 4 will no longer make stops at Loyalist College’s Pioneer Building, stopping only at the main bus loop.
Routes 5A and 5B will no longer travel along Bleecker Avenue between Bridge Street East and Victoria Avenue. Buses will instead use MacDonald Avenue between those streets. The change will not impact any stops along the route.
The bus stop near the Walmart entrance will be removed from service. This will result in the stop on Millennium Parkway, in front of the boulevard near St. Louis Bar & Grill, being the only active stop in the area on a temporary basis, until a new stop and shelter are constructed further along the boulevard.
“Belleville Transit continually reviews routes and service delivery to ensure we are meeting the needs of our riders as effectively as possible,” said Brad Strauss, manager of Transit Services. “We appreciate residents’ patience and understanding as these updates are implemented.”
Residents are encouraged to plan ahead and check updated route info before travelling.
