A 45-year-old man was sentenced last week to two years in jail, plus other conditions, after being convicted of voyeurism, making, and possessing child pornography.
In January, Justice Stephen Hunter had found the Quinte Region man guilty after evidence was shown that he had been secretly recording his 12-year-old stepdaughter in her bedroom.
Along with the two years in prison he was handed last Friday, he’ll also serve two years of probation, be added to the sex offender registry for life and must submit a sample to the DNA data bank.
He also faces a five-year weapons ban and a 10-year ban on attending places like parks, playgrounds and swimming pools, or dealing with people under the age of 16, save for certain exceptions.
The man’s name is not being released in order to protect the victim.
