Four people have been charged with impaired driving after various interactions with Northumberland OPP over the Family Day long weekend.
A 29-year-old man from Quinte West was charged after going through a RIDE check on Friday night, on County Road 30.
Police smelled alcohol on the driver, who failed a roadside test and was then tested further at the Brighton detachment.
A 20-year-old man from Port Hope was handed an impaired driving charge after a single vehicle crash, early on Saturday morning on Gilmour Road, with nobody being injured.
Then on Sunday, a 34-year-old woman from Quinte West was charged after police responded to calls of an erratic driver on Highway 401, just west of Brighton, while a 39-year-old man from Warkworth was stopped after allegedly almost hitting the centre median on 401.
Northumberland OPP say all four drivers were immediately handed 90-day licence suspensions and had their vehicles impounded.
They were all given court dates in March and April, in Cobourg.
