Search and Rescue Technicians from 424 Squadron at CFB Trenton were called into action in southwestern Ontario yesterday.
A Griffon helicopter and its crew responded to the Elmira area, where a hang glider pilot had lost control and got stuck in some trees.
The SAR-Techs were dropped down and were able to get the stranded pilot out of the trees safely using a hoist.
A Tweet from the Joint Rescue Coordination Centre in Trenton says the pilot suffered minor injuries and was taken to hospital by ambulance.
