Northumberland OPP have recovered a stolen vehicle.
The white 2019 Lexus SUV was found partially in the ditch, on the side of the eastbound Highway 401 near Cobourg earlier this week and it was discovered the vehicle had been stolen from a home in Markham.
An OPP crime scene officer processed the vehicle before it was returned to its registered owner and police in the Markham area will be continuing the investigation.
Meanwhile, Northumberland OPP are also looking for a truck that was stolen overnight last night, from a home on Beech Street in Bewdley, south of Peterborough.
The 2004 GMC Sierra is grey, with the licence plate 636 2MR and it has a soft tonneau cover, a dent on the front driver’s side bumper and a dent in the passenger side wheel well.
Anyone who might have information on that stolen truck can contact OPP or Crimestoppers.
