An Ottawa man has been charged after a weekend incident involving Napanee OPP.
Officers conducting speed enforcement on Highway 401 pulled a car over around 3:45 p.m. and found the driver had a suspended licence, and was also in possession of a number of pieces of stolen identity documents.
During the arrest, police say the driver became physical and resisted, but was eventually taken into custody.
The 25-year-old was charged with resisting a peace officer, laundering proceeds of crime, possession of a forged document and possession of identity information for the purpose of trafficking.
He was also charged under the Highway Traffic Act with driving without insurance, driving with liquor readily available, driving while suspended, speeding and others.
