Belleville firefighters are on the scene of a house fire in the 100 block of Summit Crescent.
Firefighters first got the call at about 4:40 pm.
Firefighters were able to knock down the fire quickly after arriving, limiting damage to the home’s exterior wall and attic area. Some siding on the home next door was also melted due to the heat.
The occupants of the home were able to escape safely, and were checked by Hastings-Quinte EMS. No injuries were reported.
A fire investigator is on the scene, a cause for the fire has yet to be determined.
