Belleville’s Canada Day committee is bringing in a weekend of fun to celebrate Canada’s 150th birthday.
Spokesperson Dwayne Barrett says starting Thursday June 29th, they are hosting three days of events at West Zwick’s Park.
Highlighting the weekend will be Friday June 30th, with a performance by Canadian rockers Trooper. It will be free to the public. The event is supported by McDougall Insurance and Financial, Empire Productions and Rock 107.
On Saturday there will be all day music, headlined by 80s band The Box. Other acts include The Shadows, The Fiddleheads, Ed’s Garage, Farside, Tailgate, Andy Forgie and more.
There is also a children’s play area, crafts, and fun for the entire family.
Thursday will feature a free outdoor movie as well.
More details will be released over the coming days. It is free to attend and parking will be a suggested donation of $5.
