The Special Investigations Unit will be holding a media conference at 11:00 a.m. Monday morning to update the community about the Sons of Jacob Synagogue shooting Sunday evening.
Belleville Police Chief Murray Rodd spoke to Quinte News this morning.
He says details of what happened will be coming from SIU, however, he did give some comment about his officer.
“Our officer is currently in ICU. He still requires the prayers and support of the community, and will for the coming days. His family are with him, he’s surrounded and looked after with our team of support.”
“We will be receiving some assistance from neighbouring police services to augment our staffing as we work with our people to ensure that they’re well and fit for duty.”
