One person has been charged in connection with a sexual assault investigation in Brighton.
On August 20, Northumberland OPP received a number of complaints regarding incidents that occurred at a business on Young Street from May 28 to August 12.
An investigation by the Northumberland Crime Unit resulted in the arrest of a Cobourg resident on Monday.
Jalil Ahmed, 53 has been charged with:
– Sexual assault
– Voyeurism – two counts
The accused is scheduled to appear before the Ontario Court of Justice in Cobourg in September 2026.
