Prince Edward County is taking some time for extra consultation before moving forward with a project to put Pickleball courts in Delhi Park in Picton.
During Tuesday’s council meeting, councillor Brad Nieman put in a motion to have an additional stakeholder meeting regarding the project to install a set of 6 Pickleball courts in Delhi Park.
While discussing the motion, Councillor Nieman said that there were stakeholders in the park and the proposed courts that had not been included in the process prior to this point, and that they should have a chance to have their voices heard.
Councillor Phil St-Jean put forward an amendment to specify that the additional process would focus on promoting synergy and good relations among the organizations using the park.
The amendment was passed, and the main motion passed as amended.
