If all goes well there could be a new sports facility coming to Quinte West.
Recently an application was made for the rezoning of 8.9 hectares of land along Wallbridge-Loyalist Road near Chatterton Valley Crescent, to allow an outdoor rock climbing facility.
The rezoning application was made by Ronald and Julie Kane.
Currently there is a home on the property and outbuildings supporting the needs of a small livestock operation, but much of the property remains wooded.
The rock climbing facility would be seasonal and weather dependent.
There were no objections to the proposal and the Planning Advisory Committee recommended council approve the rezoning.
