UPDATE: A representative with the Ontario Fire Marshall’s Office as well as Belleville Police are joining the investigation into a fire that sent two people to hospital.
An investigator from the Belleville Fire Department is on scene continuing their search for a cause to the blaze.

An early evening blaze sent two people to the hospital Tuesday night, after emergency crews pulled them from a burning West Hill home.
Belleville firefighters rushed to the smoke-filled Jane Street apartment building just before 7:00 p.m., to perform the dramatic rescue.
Police taped off the surrounding neighbourhood near Coleman Street, while crews extinguished the flames and searched for lingering hot spots.
The area remained secured overnight as fire investigators worked to figure out what sparked the blaze.
Hastings-Quinte EMS rushed the patients to hospital for treatment.
