A new name has entered the race for mayor of Belleville.
Belleville Votes officially reported on Tuesday that Don Metzger has filed his nomination papers to run for mayor.
Metzger is the fourth person to file papers to run for mayor in Belleville, joining the field of incumbent Neil Ellis, mental health advocate Cynthia Black, and comedian Kyle Woolven.
Those looking to file their nomination papers for mayor, councillor or school board trustee must be filed by 2 p.m. this Friday.
