Four individuals were arrested following the execution of a Controlled Drugs and Substances Act (CDSA) search
warrant at a residence in the Town of Cobourg.
On August 14, 2026, as part of an ongoing drug trafficking investigation, members of the Cobourg Police Service
(CPS) Street Crime Enforcement Unit and Criminal Investigations Bureau, assisted by the CPS Canine Unit and
Uniform Patrol, executed a CDSA search warrant at a residence in the area of Densmore Road in Cobourg.
As a result of the investigation, police seized cocaine, $7,600 in Canadian currency, and an expandable baton.
Austin Cunningham (26), Veronica Scott (29), Roy Powers (52), and Katrina Pearce (48) were charged with
Possession for the purpose of trafficking schedule I substance – cocaine.
Cunningham and Scott were additionally charged with:
• Possession of a weapon for a dangerous purpose
• Possession of proceeds of crime over $5,000
The total street value of the drugs seized was approximately $3,000
Cunningham was held in custody for a bail hearing. Scott, Powers and Pearce were released on undertakings
with future court dates.
