Belleville police are asking for the public’s help, especially those in the north end, as they investigate several reports of suspicious activity.
Over the past week, officers have responded to reports of two individuals observed on multiple properties between approximately 10:30 p.m. and 2 a.m. just south of Maitland Drive.
The individuals were reportedly seen checking vehicles parked in driveways, looking toward residences and, in some instances, entering backyard areas.

Police will continue to have an increased presence in the area as the investigation
continues.
Residents with security or doorbell cameras are also encouraged to enrol with CAMSafe.
The voluntary registry helps police quickly identify cameras in an area that may have footage relevant to an investigation.
CAMSafe does not provide police with live access to cameras; it allows officers to contact registered owners directly if footage may assist.
