Tyendinaga Township council has received some good news.
The Ontario Trillium Foundation has granted the township just over
$198,000 to pay for the refurbishment of the existing tennis court area at
the township recreation complex on McFarlane Road.
The money will pay the entire cost of turning the court area into a
multi-court facility, accommodating tennis, pickleball, basketball, ball hockey
and badminton.
Township staff are preparing a request for proposals to solicit interest from contractors
for the court’s construction.
