Quinte West is making a slight update to their doctor recruitment plan, and how it relates to other plans in surrounding communities.
Northumberland County is being added to a memorandum of understanding that prevents the communities that have joined it from recruiting doctors already recruited by the other signing communities. Northumberland County is being included after the municipality of Brighton, who was previously part of the memorandum, merged their doctor recruitment efforts with Northumberland County’s.
Belleville, Prince Edward County and Hastings County are also signed to the memorandum.
The motion was passed by council without debate.
