Quinte West OPP have laid charges in an impaired operation investigation after a collision.
Police responded to the collision on Wallbridge Road in Quinte West at around 8:15 p.m. on Monday.
OPP suspected a motorist may have been under the influence of alcohol.
A screening device was used, resulting in the arrest of the driver for being impaired.
Thirty-seven-year-old Vincent Goyetche of Quinte West was charged with the following:
- Operation while impaired – alcohol and drugs
- Operation while impaired – blood alcohol concentration (80 plus)
The accused was released from custody and is scheduled to appear at the Ontario Court of Justice in Belleville on September 17, 2026.
Additionally, his licence was suspended for 90 days.
