Belleville Police and Quinte West OPP, along with the Ministry of Transportation enforcement unit, have been conducting patrols targeting commercial vehicles across Belleville and Quinte West.
The operation began on On Wednesday, July 29. As a result of the operation, 29 Commercial Vehicle Safety Alliance Inspections were conducted, 11 vehicles were placed Out-of-Service, and 30 charges were laid. Of the charges laid, 47% of those due to registration, daily inspections and vehicle maintenance.
Police also seized a license plate for unauthorized use.
