A Belleville man has been charged after a domestic dispute in the city’s west end early Thursday morning.
Belleville police responded to a residence at around 2:08 a.m.
When officers arrived, it was reported to police that a verbal argument had occurred between a male and a female.
Upon further investigation, it was learned that in March of 2026, the male had physically assaulted the female by shoving her to the ground.
As a result of the investigation, a 30-year-old Belleville man was arrested and charged with assault – spousal
He was released on an undertaking with a court date in September.
